PLASTICOLOR dosing units have been reliably serving cable production facilities for many years. However, with rising demands regarding efficiency, safety and connectivity, modernizing existing equipment and systems is a worthwhile investment. WOYWOD offers solutions ranging from the replacement of older dosing units to the targeted upgrading of existing systems with state-of-the-art technology.

Enhanced Performance with the G330 Motor Generation
The brushless (BLDC) motor generation operates maintenance-free, significantly reducing the time and effort required for maintenance and servicing. With a speed range of up to 1:800 and high torque reserves, the motor covers a wide dosing range and enables the processing of challenging materials. Serving as a standardized motor for various PLASTICOLOR dosing units, it also simplifies spare parts inventory and servicing. Plug-in connections allow for motor replacement (if necessary) in a matter of seconds.
The integrated control system of the 48 V DC drive and optional fieldbus interfaces, such as PROFINET and CANopen, make the G330/G331 a future-proof solution for both existing and new systems.

Optimized Dosing Technology
Current PLASTICOLOR dosing units also offer numerous advantages over older generations of equipment. An optimized intake zone improves material flow and enables emptying with virtually no residue. Newly tuned screw/cylinder combinations (featuring a larger annular gap and improved sealing) expand the application range to include challenging materials such as PUR and other materials that are difficult to process.
The new neckpiece slider valve facilitates hose connection, throughput testing and material sampling. Optional test containers, which can be easily mounted on the test outlets, further simplify handling and ensure a clean production environment.
A standardized motor bracket for the PLASTICOLOR 1500, 2500 and 3500 models also simplifies motor replacement and spare parts inventory management.

Enhanced safety and connectivity
Modern motor shut-off systems can also improve workplace safety for existing installations. Depending on the specific version, options include a safety shut-off certified to EN ISO 13849-1 or a proprietary WOYWOD solution featuring a contact sensor. Opening the motor bracket during operation cuts off the power supply to the motor.

Whether it involves a complete unit replacement or a targeted upgrade, modernizing existing PLASTICOLOR systems offers a way to combine proven machine designs with state-of-the-art technology.

WOYWOD helps you find the ideal modernization solution for your existing PLASTICOLOR system.
